Amphenol’s Make in India Products – E-Mobility Sector

Amphenol has made a significant impact in the Indian mobility market with its innovative features designed for efficiency, durability, and safety.

For instance, the DuraEV™ is a portable and fixed battery charging and discharging connector with a patented contact system.  It features 2 power pins and 4/6 signal pins, utilizing a patented contact system that can handle a continuous current ranging from 15A to 70A, with up to 10,000 mating cycles.

The DuraSwap™ Connectors and the DURASWAP™ Concentric Connectors are among the most highly durable swappable docking connectors currently available in the market.

The DuraSwap™ Connectors have the capability of carrying a continuous current from 15A up to 70A with 10,000 mating cycles, IP67 rating in both mated and unmated conditions, and have unidirectional mating.

With an IP67 rating and 10,000 mating cycles, the DURASWAP™ Concentric Connectors have a current carrying capability of up to 100A and can be mated in two directions (bi-directional mating).

Another e-mobility charging solution is the Energy Pole Socket and Energy Pole Plug which utilizes 360-degree rotation post mating with an automatic latching solution while mating to effectively transmit a power of 200A/250A/350A respectively.

The Type 6 Charging Gun and Inlet, also called the LEV Charging Connectors and Inlet, will also be another prominent exhibit at the booth, as it is capable of carrying a continuous current of 100A and is compliant with IEC 62196-6 standard with 2 Power and 5 signals.

Developed entirely in India, the Type 6 Gun & Inlet adheres to the IS17017-25 Protocol and IS17017-2-6 Standard, ensuring compatibility with the latest industry requirements.

Amphenol’s Make in India Products – ESS Sector

Amphenol’s contribution to the Energy Storage System sector (ESS) includes connectors such as the EnergyKlip™ Solutions. These connectors provide reliable solutions for energy storage systems (ESS), particularly in battery module interconnects. The EK160 model supports up to 160A per contact and offers an optional IP67-sealed variant for harsh environments, featuring a robust latching system, and is available in cable and flex busbar configurations. In contrast, the EK350 model is rated for 350A per contact with a built-in IP67 seal, ensuring durability and protection. Both series are designed for flexibility and reliability, making them ideal for efficient power transmission in demanding applications.
