The Zhaga Book 20 standard, allows smart lighting modules to be capable of much more functionality beyond lighting. For example, the use of intelligent D4i drivers enables luminaires to collect, store, and report a wide variety of data in a standardized manner which can be used for various purposes like controlling energy consumption and maximizing cost savings.
