Amphenol's QSFP DD to QSFP DD 400G Active Optical Cable (AOC) assemblies doubles both the number of lanes from 4 to 8 and the bits sent per unit interval as compared to 100G QSFP28 AOC. The QSFP DD AOCs operate up to 26.5625GBd PAM4 modulation and provide solutions up to 400Gb/s aggregate bandwidth, supporting 100 meters over parallel multi-mode fiber.

They are an ideal choice to be adopted for higher capacity networks and data center applications. These assemblies implement CMIS 5.0 as its host common management protocol, enabling easy interoperability and flexibility for initialization and output characteristics, optimizing Bit Error Rates from the perspective of the host.
